Di Sigel Studio Pottery Centrepiece, Copper-Green Glaze, c1980s

$140.00

Di Sigel is a well-known Australian potter, based in Perth. After moving to WA from Victoria in 1984 she quickly became involved in the local pottery community, as both a local leader and teacher. She is well known for her combination of function and form in her decorative pieces.

She experimented with various glazes, with her copper-green glaze becoming a particular favourite.

This large bowl is a fantastic example of her style - definitely a functional piece, but highly decorative with a stunning copper-green glaze, and organic motifs reminiscent of clouds and rain. It echoes ancient oriental styles and is expertly crafted.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition.

Please note dimensions carefully as it is often difficult to represent sizes accurately in the photographs. This is a large piece, so the size and weight are factored into the postage.
